STATEMENT OF FAITH
Elohim Christian Outreach Center is called, ordained, and anointed by God to bring the body of Christ into a prosperous relationship with the Godhead: FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT.
We have been called to preach the Gospel to the poor, "...to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Vs 19) to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. " (Luke 4:18 & 19)
We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God. (II Timothy 3:16)
We believe that there is one body and one Spirit; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in all.
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation.
We maintain that faith in Christ Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection is the only way, truth and life. The born again experience occurs upon confessing that God raised Jesus from the dead and asking Jesus to come inside your heart. We believe in the subsequent experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with tongues.
We believe that the Holy Spirit expresses Himself through people. We believe in the ministry gifts as outlined in 1 Corinthians Chapter 12 and Romans Chapter 12, and we expect the expression and fulfillment of the same.
We believe in water baptism and observance of the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion).
We believe in the return of our soon coming King, Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead in Christ and that those who remain will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. This is referred to as the second coming as described in (1 Thessalonians Chapter 4).
THE VISION OF ECOC
The Vision God has given us is to address the spiritual, social, and economic needs of people in our broader community, city, counties and around the world. Our goal is to first share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with simplicity. Secondly, to make programs and services available for the social and economical needs of the members and partners of the ministry.
Our focus is to Teach the Word, Live the Word, and Love the People. We believe that this philosophy can be carried out more effectively by providing an environment of order.
(1 Corinthians 14:40) states, "Let all things be done decently and in order".
Our mission is the Development of Faith, Family and Finances. Through the teaching of God's Word, Wholesome Fellowship, Uncompromising Integrity and Excellence, we will help each per-
son come to the Saving Knowledge of Jesus Christ, thereby expanding the Kingdom of God in the Earth.
In December of 1995 with less than 70 members the church purchased a five and one half acre Strip Mall for the asking price of 1 million dollars. On December 11, 2010 we paid off our mortgage 7 years ahead of schedule.
The Church presently uses 13,000 sq. ft. of space for its sanctuary, offices, classrooms, fellowship hall, youth department activities and 2,187 sq. ft. for rental / community use.
Apostle Leo Hackett, Jr, want to thank you for choosing our fellowship to meet your spiritual needs. We have anointed and capable Pastors, Elders, Ministers on staff who assist in carrying out our assignment.
As you complete your partnership training classes we want to encourage you to get involved with these leaders through the ministries of helps.
